Assistant Professor, Environmental Studies, Seattle University (Seattle, WA)

The Environmental Studies program at Seattle University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor to begin September 2020.  We seek a broadly trained social scientist in the social-behavioral dimensions of sustainability, with expertise in environmental economics. The Environmental Studies program at SU combines coursework in the natural sciences, social sciences and humanities to prepare undergraduate students with the problem-solving skills to contribute to a society that is ecologically sustainable and socially just. The successful candidate will be housed in the Environmental Studies program with the potential to explore affiliations with related departments.

Coordinator, Project – Campus Engagement and Zero Waste, The University of Arizona (Tucson, AZ)

This position will manage the Greening the Game program, dovetail with existing UA student sustainability programs, and lead new student initiatives that promote a campus culture of sustainability and elevate awareness of zero waste practices. The position will also work to develop a financially sustainable zero waste program that can be utilized by campus and community stakeholders for events, and to advance progress on UA’s zero waste goals set forth in the 2018 Strategic Plan.

Recycling and Solid Waste Supervisor, Warren Wilson College (Asheville, NC)

The Recycling and Solid Waste Supervisor is responsible for the planning, training and supervision of the Recycling student crew, as well as ensuring all recycling and waste program operations are in compliance with the policies of Warren Wilson College and county, state, and federal guidelines. Under the direction of the Senior Supervisor of Preventative Maintenance and the Director of Facilities, the Recycling Supervisor is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the department and creating awareness of the environmental benefits of waste stream reduction.
