Sierra Student Coalition’s 2020 Climate Justice League Fellowship, Sierra Club

The Climate Justice League is a 10-week organizing fellowship for high school and college-aged young people who are ready to make a difference! Through this program, students learn key organizing and leadership skills, meet other youth activists from around the country, and take action for climate and social justice. 

The past year has seen unprecedented action and leadership from young people around the country. It’s going to take ALL of us to fight the climate crisis and win the future our generation needs.

ee360 Community EE Fellowship, North American Association for Environmental Education (Tucson, AZ)

Apply to become an ee360 Community EE Fellow! ee360 proposes to address environmental and local challenges by fostering community leaders with the skills to communicate, network, mentor, and share best practices to stimulate local community resiliency efforts. In 2018, we convened our first cohort of Fellows, and in 2020 we will convene our second cohort and support a network of community leaders working in environmental education and conservation. Fellows across North America work in communities of color, low-income urban neighborhoods, impoverished rural regions, and across multi-state regions to mitigate the impacts of environmental degradation on communities by helping them become more resilient to the pressing challenges.

Sustainability Analyst, Indiana University (Bloomington, IN)

Indiana University seeks a Sustainability Analyst that analyzes, reports, and recommends university sustainability best practices across a variety of areas including waste and recycling, food, transportation, landscape, procurement, energy and the built environment. Supports key initiatives in sustainability and ensures progress that aligns with University goals and priorities. Facilitates and collaborates with campus partners to ensure progress of Sustain IU working groups. Mentors associated Sustain IU interns. Conducts data tracking and reporting related to the Sustainability Tracking Assessment and Rating System (STARS), administered by the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Ed. Collaborates on data tracking and reporting across Capital Planning and Facility (CPF) units and across campuses, ensuring alignment between sustainability analysis and CPF priorities. Supports the University Director on system-wide sustainability efforts as well as other duties as needed.

EDF Climate Corps is cultivating the next generation of sustainability professionals united to advance climate solutions.

The first-of-its-kind fellowship program brings together an arsenal of top talent, resources and expertise in a variety of subject matters and industries to help organizations meet their sustainability and energy goals.

Since the program’s inception in 2008, nearly 1000 graduate students have been placed into more than 450 organizations spanning the U.S. and China to tackle energy-related challenges and opportunities, including setting ambitious climate targets and making global supply chains more sustainable. The result: over $1.6 billion in energy saving projects identified
