Teaching load is five courses per year with competitive salary and benefits. The Department of Rhetoric, Writing, and Communications at the University of Winnipeg invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor with a specialization in Environmental Communication.

The successful candidate will have completed a Ph.D. in rhetoric, composition, communication, or a related discipline. The candidate will have demonstrated 1) a clear potential for establishing an international scholarly reputation through a promising research program, 2) a strong record of undergraduate teaching, and 3) a commitment to curriculum and program development.

GIS Specialist, Friends of the Verde River (Cottonwood, AZ)

As a member of the Friends of the Verde River Habitat Restoration team, the GIS Specialist will support the habitat restoration program, including building and maintaining databases, analyzing data, and developing mapping applications and tools.  Reporting directly to the Habitat Restoration Managerthe GIS Specialist must demonstrate a clear understanding of Geographic Information Systems and associated software to produce, display, and analyze geospatial data.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter and creative thinker who is comfortable learning and applying evolving GIS technology to projects related to natural resource management.

C2C Fellows Network, Bard Center for Environmental Policy (Annandale-On-Hudson, NY)

The C2C Fellows Network at the Bard Center for Environmental Policy is a national program for undergraduates and recent graduates aspiring to leadership work in sustainability policy, NGO’s and business. C2C’s intensive skills-based weekend workshops include young people from across the country. The $30 registration fee includes meals and housing. Students often receive funding to attend this conference from their student governments or sustainability offices. 

Led by Dr. Eban Goodstein, Director of Bard’s Center for Environmental Policy, C2C trainings focus on key leadership skills: vision, courage, developing your network, telling your story, and raising funds.

This workshop will take place on Friday March 6, 5 PM to Sunday, March 8, 12PM

Climate Forward Ambassador, City of Somerville (Somerville, MA)

The Somerville Office of Sustainability and Environment’s (OSE) Climate Forward Ambassador program started in the spring of 2019 and is designed to educate a diverse group of Somerville residents about climate change. The goal is to increase the Somerville community’s capacity to engage in climate action. You don’t need any prior knowledge about climate change to participate—in fact, the ideal group will have a range of knowledge on this topic. Any Somerville resident, high school age or older, is eligible to apply.
