Project Officer, Ecosystem Management, International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) (Belgrade, Serbia)

IUCN Regional Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia (ECARO) is seeking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic candidate to join the IUCN ECARO team as Ecosystem Management Project Officer. The successful candidate will work in close cooperation with IUCN regional and global Nature-based Solutions teams and thematic programs.
The primary task of the Ecosystem Management Project Officer will be to support the implementation of the Nature-based Solutions Programme Area at regional level. The scope of activities will include the management of the EU-funded project “Earth Observation Platform for Environmental Law Enforcement Support” (EnviroLENS) and support to resource mobilization and development of a portfolio of activities under the Bonn Challenge and ECCA30 initiative.

Climate and Energy Outreach Program Coordinator, City of Boston (Boston, MA)

The City of Boston’s Environment Department is looking for a driven individual to increase energy efficiency and renewable energy in Boston buildings. The Climate and Energy Outreach Program Coordinator will be responsible for managing energy efficiency programs and developing new strategies to make clean energy more accessible, particularly for Boston residents and small businesses, implementing and expanding existing outreach strategies, creating more opportunities for participation in energy programs, and researching policies that support those goals. The right candidate will be a strong communicator and problem-solver. The coordinator must be also be comfortable working across teams and developing relationships with external partners.

Research Assistant – India Climate Policy , Center for International Environment & Resource Policy (Medford, MA)

The Climate Policy Lab at the Center for International Environment and Resource Policy (CIERP) seeks a research assistant to help with a project analyzing India’s climate policy gap to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. The tasks will involve 1) conducting a detailed review of government documents, think tank policy reports, and academic literature to 2) create a chronological inventory of direct and indirect greenhouse gas mitigation policies in India across different sectors including industry, electricity, transport, buildings, land-use change and forestry, and agriculture. Research assistant is also required to produce a bibliography of academic literature that has already studied policy gaps in climate change and other issue areas in general. Knowledge of climate and energy policy is required. Familiarity with policy and legal language is preferred. Familiarity with India’s policy landscape is helpful but not required.

This is a short-term position and immediate availability is required. Applicants must be current Fletcher students. Time commitment is approximately 10 hours/week for next 5 weeks. Payment is $17/hour.

Climate Corps Fellowship, Climate Corps (CA)

The Climate Corps fellowship program is now accepting applications for up to 100 paid opportunities in California with local governments and organizations including Alameda County Office of Sustainability, Capitol Corridor, San Francisco Green Business Program, SunPower, and University of California Office of the President. 

A Climate Corps Fellow gains 10 months of experience implementing climate change resiliency projects with community partners, along with extensive personal development and training.
