Conservation Leadership Corps Crew Leader, the Student Conservation Association (Cook County, IL)

Co-lead, supervise, transport, and mentor a team of 10 high school youth, ages 14-19 for six weeks (Mon-Fri, 35 hrs/week). Complete an assortment of hands-on conservation and restoration projects within different areas in the Forest Preserves of Cook County and plan and lead weekly educational field days. Administrative and reporting duties are required as they relate to data management, photo documentation, and youth assessments. Crew leaders will also be expected to facilitate a provided environmental education curriculum.

Restoration Intern, Audubon Great Lakes (Chicago, IL)

Restoration Interns play a critical role in the management and restoration in Forest Preserves of Cook County (FPCC) and Chicago Park District (CPD) Natural Areas. Under the direction of Audubon’s Stewardship Program Associate, Restoration Crew Chief and Restoration Assistant Crew Chief, Restoration Interns will help to restore ecological health and integrity of prairie, savanna, woodland, wetland and hemimarsh habitats by removing invasive species at various preserves and natural areas in Cook County. This internship is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in natural areas management and land stewardship, as well as contribute to the growing network of individuals and organizations in the Chicago area that possess a personal commitment to conservation.

Sustainability Communications + Programs Summer Intern, Tufts Office of Sustainability (Medford, MA)

The Tufts Office of Sustainability is seeking a full-time summer intern to assist with day-to-day office activities. The intern will assist with office communications and programming, including creating documents and outreach materials, writing articles and memos, editing and designing the monthly newsletter, managing the office’s social media platforms, and performing website and blog maintenance. The intern may help plan and organize the office’s participation in several events, including new student orientations. This will include preparing event materials, assisting with event logistics, and tabling at events. In addition, the intern will be expected to research sustainability initiatives that might be undertaken on any of Tufts’ four campuses (Boston, Medford, Grafton, SMFA) and to help the Office of Sustainability staff with any projects they are currently working on.

Clean Energy Internship Program, Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MA)

The Massachusetts Clean Energy Internship Program facilitates the placement of students and recent graduates who are considering career opportunities in clean energy through paid internships across the state. Consistent with MassCEC’s role as a catalyst in growing the talent needed by the clean energy industry, the internship program is designed to provide students and employers with the tools to connect, and MassCEC reimburses eligible employers for intern stipends. Students looking for an internship in the clean energy industry are required to complete an online application that includes a resume, transcripts, and supporting eligibility documents. There is no formal deadline for applications, but students are encouraged to apply as soon as possible to increase their chances of being matched with a Host Employer.

Open enrollment for the Summer Session started February 24th, 2020.

Apply to represent Tufts University at the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) annual Conference of the Parties (COP). Through their status as observers, the Tufts delegates gain important insight into the discussions that frame global climate change policy and action.

ALL members of the Tufts community, including undergraduate students, graduate students, faculty, staff and alumni, are eligible to apply to attend COP.
