Internship (Natural Sciences Sector, Field), UNESCO (Various Locations)

UNESCO works to assist countries to invest in science, technology and innovation (STI), to develop national science policies, to reform their science systems and to build capacity to monitor and evaluate performance through STI indicators and statistics taking into account the broad range of country-specific contexts. The Intern will have the opportunity to learn and support the overall work of the sector/programme’s mission. The intern will be selected according to their specialization and needs of the sector.

Working at the intersection of the land conservation and urban agriculture movements, TerraCorp’s vision is to create a future where land is the foundation of health and well-being for ALL people in EVERY community. TerraCorps Members will serve in full-time, 11-month terms (August 31st, 2020-July 30, 2021) in which they complete at least 1,700 hours of service with one of our partner organizations. Internship: Water Quality (In-stream Flow & River Watch Programs), Colorado Department of Natural Resources (Denver, CO)

The purpose of the Youth Internship Program for Natural Resources is to employ and expose students and recent graduates to natural resource careers within Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW).  The selected candidate will experience a variety of learning experiences (i.e. ride along with officers, wildlife surveys, educational activities, seminars, trainings) and gain a broader understanding of CPW and its various careers.  This position is a great experience for those wanting to pursue a career as a District Wildlife Manager, Park Ranger, or Wildlife/Conservation Biologist.  

CPW’s Water Section coordinates water quantity (water rights) and water quality work within the agency. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in both the water quantity and water quality fields through Colorado’s In-stream Flow and River Watch Programs. The selected candidate will split their time between each program.

Water Justice Intern, Blue Access LLC (Remote)

Blue Access currently seeks a full-time intern for the summer of 2020 to work on priority issues in water and social impact investing, including identifying and addressing water quality and access issues in rural, underserved communities domestically and globally.  

Intern responsibilities will include research on domestic and global water policy issues and innovative technologies, infrastructure, and financing solutions; drafting fact sheets and background reports; supporting outreach and communication to communities and organizations partnering with Blue Access; contributing content to the Blue Access web pages and social media; supporting Blue Access meetings and educational programs; and administrative and management tasks that further the mission. The intern will report to the Blue Access CEO.
