Environmental Education Internship, Sanctuary One (Jacksonville WY)

Are you thinking about working on a farm? Do you see a future working with animals, but need some hands-on experience? Our farm internships provide that and much more. All interns take part in the daily operations of the farm, performing a wide array of chores, from feeding and herding farm animals to moving irrigation pipe and bucking hay. Interns also help guide tours, learn the principles of permaculture, help rehabilitate and socialize farm animals, and participate in special projects.

The internship program is a full-time, unpaid position. Sanctuary One provides comfortable housing in a shared living space, with some food staples provided. Interns are responsible for their own food and transportation. Internships run throughout the year, and typically last three to four months; however, some interns have stayed as briefly as six weeks and as long as nine months. Many interns go on to do inspirational things, like working at Best Friends Animal Society or Farm Sanctuary.

The ideal candidate will enjoy the opportunity to volunteer on a care farm where people, animals and the earth work together for mutual healing.

Organizer Internship, Vote Earth (Remote)

Vote Earth Organizers will work on campuses (in-person or virtually) across the U.S. to mobilize young and first-time voters to #VoteEarth in the 2020 General Election. Ideally, each campus will have up to 2 interns working jointly to get as many students as possible to: 1) register to vote and 2) commit to #VoteEarth. Vote Earth Organizers will receive comprehensive training on organizing successful voter registration campaigns on campuses, and resources to expand their outreach capacity. Finally, #VoteEarth is meant to be a unifying force among many interest groups, so Vote Earth Organizers will be responsible for coordinating collaboration amongst student groups
across campus, ranging from environmental to civic to faith.
