Assistant Director of Sustainability, Princeton University (Princeton, New Jersey)

The Office of Sustainability’s mission is to cultivate sustainability as foundational in Princeton’s campus ethos. This Assistant Director position reports to the Director and manages academic engagement and Campus-as-Lab (CAL) initiatives. The program functions at the nexus of operational, educational and research activities that result in the advancement of hands-on learning and applied sustainability. The Assistant Director serves as a highly collaborative leader and member of the office team toward achieving Sustainability Action Plan goals, by leveraging team strengths and through academic and operational partnerships. Additionally, you will function as the organizational and strategic team lead for a portfolio of projects in the Academic Engagement and CAL Initiatives program areas. This coordination includes engagement of faculty, staff, and students in opportunities related to capital projects and campus lands, management of CAL-related data sources, and active promotion of their use, as well as raising the visibility and helping scale the impact of effective CAL projects across campus and beyond.

Communications Intern, Tufts Environmental Studies Program (Medford, MA or Remote)

The Environmental Studies Program is looking for a work-study student for 2-3 hrs a week ($13/hr) to design posters for our weekly lecture series and do social media outreach. The candidate must be proficient in poster design and social media use. Candidates who also have video-making skills or other skills to produce visual products (e.g. StoryMaps) are preferred.

This position can be done remotely as long as the student has access to adequate software to design posters. Otherwise, they will be required to come in person to use a computer in the Environmental Studies Program (Barnum Hall).

Interested students must submit a cover letter, resume, and a work sample including a poster, video, or other visual work sample. This position is only open to undergraduate students – those in the ENVS Program will be given preference.
