Participatory Action Research Fellowships, Unitarian Universalist Service Committee (Various locations)

UUSC’s Participatory Action Research Fellowships are designed to strengthen and promote the role of participatory action research as a powerful tool to advance human rights and social justice. Through this fellowship program, UUSC provides two year-long grants, one to an activist with significant experience and one to a graduate student or recent graduate, to work collaboratively with our research team. Fellows are expected to conduct participatory research projects focused in one of UUSC’s programmatic areas (Climate Forced Displacement, Migrant Justice, Disaster Justice), in collaboration with UUSC’s partners and their research team. Summer Intern, Nashua Regional Planning Commission (Nashua, NH)

The Nashua Regional Planning Commission seeks a summer intern to join its award-winning team from approximately May to September. This is a full-time temporary paid position, the duties of which primarily consist of GPS and GIS mobile field data collection. The majority of time (approximately 80%) will be spent on road surface condition assessment, with the remainder (approximately 20%) for economic conditions assessment of the region’s major commercial corridors and high-potential developable areas. This position requires a valid driver’s license.

Molecule Ventures is seeking a dynamic and passionate Summer/Research Associate that is eager to learn about the role of carbon markets and other market-based environmental programs as well as private and publicly-listed companies with a nexus to decarbonizing the global economy. You will support the team’s ongoing due diligence of existing and emerging cap-and-trade programs and other investment opportunities, including those in publicly-listed equities and possibly private companies, water markets, offsets, and elsewhere, with the goal of helping the firm build conviction in its existing investments, deploy more capital, and grow its product and AUM base.
