Environmental Advocacy Symposium, Pace University (New York, NY)

The Association for Environmental Studies and Sciences invites scholars, educators, practitioners, and students to submit proposals for the Environmental Advocacy Symposium, a one-day convening on the research and practice of environmental advocacy.  

The Environmental Advocacy Symposium will take place Wednesday, June 10, 2020, at Pace University, followed by the Association for Environmental Studies and Sciences Conference.

Climate Forward Ambassador, City of Somerville (Somerville, MA)

The Somerville Office of Sustainability and Environment’s (OSE) Climate Forward Ambassador program started in the spring of 2019 and is designed to educate a diverse group of Somerville residents about climate change. The goal is to increase the Somerville community’s capacity to engage in climate action. You don’t need any prior knowledge about climate change to participate—in fact, the ideal group will have a range of knowledge on this topic. Any Somerville resident, high school age or older, is eligible to apply.

8th Annual U.S. C3E Poster Awards

The U.S. C3E Poster Competition is an opportunity for students and early-career researchers to participate in a poster competition at the 8th Annual U.S. C3E Women in Clean Energy Symposium at Texas A&M University. The poster competition exposes symposium attendees to cutting-edge research in a variety of clean energy fields. A poster committee with wide-ranging expertise will select the most compelling poster submissions for presentation at the Symposium with an eye toward diversity of institution, topic, and discipline.

Harvard University’s Administrative Fellowship Program is one of the cornerstones of our diversity and inclusion efforts. We seek to attract talented professionals, and in particular members of historically underrepresented groups, to promote leadership opportunities and careers in higher education. To this end, the Administrative Fellowship Program offers a twelve-month talent management experience complemented by a professional development program. This Fellow will serve as the Assistant Director of Honoring Nations and work with both the Program Director of the Harvard Project on American Indian Economic Development and the Assistant Director of Educational Outreach to strategize, develop, and implement pragmatic educational tools for the dissemination of awardees identified from its flagship program, Honoring Nations. Honoring Nations is a rigorous national awards program that identifies, celebrates, and shares outstanding examples of excellence in tribal governance in the United States and increasingly around the world. Salary range of $60,208-$98,511 dependent on qualifications.

Campus Coordinator, Rachel Carson Council

The Rachel Carson Council (RCC), a national environmental organization, seeks an outstanding campus coordinator for its Rachel Carson Council Campus Network (RCCN) of nearly 50 campuses and several thousand activists, including faculty, students, staff, and administrators.

The RCCN Coordinator works to expand and deepen the Rachel Carson Council Network and to recruit and engage faculty and students in effective national and statewide environmental engagement and advocacy. Current key issues include climate and environmental justice, elimination of and divestment from fossil fuels, promotion of clean and renewable energy, and opposition to industrial animal agriculture and biomass incineration.
