Standardized Test Scores

Supplemental application (if required by VMCAS college)

Standardized Tests

Each participating VMCAS college requires a standardized test as a prerequisite for admission. Be certain to read the standardized examination and test date requirements for each college to which you are applying. Applicants must arrange to have scores from all standardized tests sent to their chosen VMCAS colleges as soon as the scores are available. If your test scores are not immediately reported, your selected college(s) may not consider your application for admission. Make sure that your identifying information (name and date of birth) is exactly the same on your test score as on your application records.

If applying to multiple schools with the same test requirement, take the appropriate test no later than the earliest deadline date.

VMCAS colleges may not accept standardized test scores that are older than two to three years. VMCAS recommends that applicants take all required standardized tests prior to Fall 2007 to ensure that all institutional test deadlines are met. If a school requires Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores, complete all three sections in the examination: Verbal, Quantitative, and Analytical. International applicants may also be required to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and/or other English proficiency tests. Please read all application instructions and contact selected institutions directly for more information about all standardized test requirements.

A note about the VCAT®: As of April 2003, The Psychological Corporation is no longer administering the VCAT test. Please contact your designated school for their policy on submitting old VCAT scores.
