School Psychologist, part-time (0.4) at the L.D. Batchelder Elementary School
The
position of School Psychologist is designed to provide services to
students of the L.D. Batchelder Elementary School (grades K-5). Interested candidates should apply on SchoolSpring. Chief responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
- Provide short-term and ongoing counseling services to students who are struggling with social, emotional, and behavioral problems.
- Oversee and manage 504 plans.
- Provide a full range of psychometric testing as part of the special education eligibility process.
- Coordinate and complete all required paperwork as part of the IDEA team process.
- Collaborate regularly with teacher teams to stay current with student concerns.
- Provide regular communication with parents regarding academic achievement and behavioral intervention.
- Assist students who exhibit school refusal, chronic absenteeism, or behavioral concerns which interfere with academic success.
- Serve as a member of the school’s Crisis Response Team.
- Collaborate/case manage with community agencies and outside professionals providing therapeutic services to assigned students.
- Coordinate services for students who are returning to school following extended absences due to illness or hospitalization.
- Work collaboratively with school administrators to promote school policies.
