Annual Conference
The Fletcher Initiative on Religion, Law & Diplomacy hosted its first annual Religion Conference at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy in the fall of 2015.
Since that first year, the annual conference has grown in size and scope. At the 2018 fall conference, over 120 attendees heard 20 experts from around the world speak about challenging assumptions about religion in international affairs.
The panels brought together diverse perspectives to explore topics such as religious actors working on climate resilience, religious literacy in military interventions, and conceptions of secularism in different nationalist traditions.
The keynote address discussed the legacy of the International Religious Freedom Act on its twentieth anniversary.
