Religion and Migration in the Mediterranean and Europe: Human Mobility and Pluralizing Identities

Dr. Prodromou, visiting Associate Professor of Conflict Resolution at The Fletcher School and Faculty Director of the Initiative on Religion, Law, and Diplomacy, in conjunction with the Henry J. Leir Institute, published a policy brief entitled Religion and Migration in the Mediterranean and Europe: Human Mobility and Pluralizing Identities.

This brief reviews the migrations flows into Europe through Greece and focuses more specifically on the intersection of migration, religion, and security.  The research analyzes how religion shapes real and perceived security needs and threats related to migration in Greece and Europe, as well as how the religion-security nexus has affected state durability and legitimacy in Greece.
