EXHIBITIONS AND FACILITIES MANAGER

Description:

Le Laboratoire Cambridge is a contemporary art and design center highlighting the experimental works of artists and designers at frontiers of science.  Free public exhibitions, public seminars, and a stream of breakthrough products and culinary experiences bring to the greater Boston area and New England a fresh understanding and appreciation of the innovative process that permeates the streets, laboratories and classrooms of Cambridge, Massachusetts.  With the first Le Laboratoire (www.lelaboratoire.org) located in the heart of Paris, France since 2007, Le Laboratoire Cambridge is the home of cultural innovation organization ArtScience Labs (www.artsciencelabs.org), which in recent years has placed original works of art and design in major museum collections and in more than 20,000 stores around the world.

Each year Le Laboratoire Cambridge facilitates cultural experiments between leading artists, designers and scientists that lead to contemporary art exhibitions that are displayed at Le Lab.  Often exhibitions translate beyond their time in the gallery and develop into museum works, humanitarian interventions, or commercial products.  Previous collaborations and exhibitions at Le Laboratoire Paris have included such renowned artists and designers as William Kentridge, Philippe Starck, Ryoji Ikeda and Mathieu Lehanneur, among many others.
