Facilitator – Tsongas Industrial History Center (part-time/non-benefited)

General Summary of Position: The staff person in this position handles logistics required to ensure that school groups and summer campers visiting the TIHC have a smooth, safe experience. This position also provides support for professional development activities for staff and for teachers.
This is a part-time, non-benefited, non-unit position and is contingent upon funding.
The TIHC is a partnership between UMass Lowell and Lowell National Historical Park. A field trip destination, the TIHC is located in the Boott Cotton Mills Museum (3rd fl.), 115 John St., Lowell.

Minimum Qualifications (Required): -High school diploma, GED, or equivalent-Minimum 2 years’ prior experience in managing groups of youth, interacting with visitors to a site, organizing information and anticipating possible problems to ensure smooth logistics for visitors, collaborating across various workgroups-The ability to work effectively with diverse groups-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to predict and troubleshoot logistical complications, strong dedication to customer service, organized and highly attentive to detail, able to collaborate with others to manage movement of school groups in a positive, effective way
Other Considerations: -Nature of position requires time outdoors in all kinds of weather and occasionally requires some work from home (phone calls) during extremely bad weather or emergency situations Required Applicant
