The Litchfield Historical Society in Litchfield Connecticut is seeking a Curator of Education. Reporting to the director, the Curator of Education provides strong leadership in the development and management of the institution’s education, public programs and community engagement activities and fosters a culture of ongoing learning, collaboration, innovation, and creativity. The position requires strong interpersonal skills and a professional, friendly demeanor. The Curator of Education must be self-motivated, have excellent research, writing, and communications skills, have the ability to handle multiple projects at once and be able to effectively work as part of a team. The position is full time and requires regular evening and weekend work. Qualifications: MA in history, material culture, museum education or related area with at least three years experience in developing and implementing programs in a museum setting.
