We’re excited to offer this last Hybrid & Blended session of the semester with Professor Lauren Crowe!

In a course that became hybrid out of necessity this semester, biology lecturer Lauren Crowe designed multiple innovations into her curriculum to keep students engaged, collaborating, and present, regardless of where they were physically. In this session Lauren will share successes and challenges, including how, with intention and planning, she handled discussions, group activities, breakout rooms, and attrition while class was in progress. She’ll also illustrate how she adapted these techniques when a large percentage of students were remote, and at other times when few were remote. Be prepared to attend this meeting ready to engage, as it will be hosted in a logistically similar manner to her class! She’ll leave time to also share notes about another biology class of 540 students, and how she set up a workable system to teach it partly in person, and partly asynchronously.  Afterwards we’ll have Q&A and discussion to get further into useful strategies for hybrid instruction.

This session will be offered both on Zoom, and in SEC Anderson Room 210.

Sign up to receive the Zoom link and be on the Hybrid & Blended email list.

See you then!
