The effects of climate change are, and will continue to be, spread unequally. Climate Policy Lab is seeking an intern to assist with research on how climate change is exacerbating economic inequality in the United States and globally with a focus on multiple elements from energy poverty to disaster recovery and climate adaptation financing requirements.
Tasks:
Research activities will include data collection and analysis, literature review, writing, and creating power point slides.
Professor Amy Myers Jaffe, Managing Director of Climate Policy Lab, will be the supervisor. We are looking to hire an RA to work part-time, approximately 10 hours per week for ten weeks, starting in September. The work can be conducted remotely or hybrid. The pay rate is $17/ hour.
Qualifications:
- Excellent quantitative and qualitative skills, with a high degree of comfort working with data and web technologies
- Excellent writing skills
- Willingness to take initiative and ability to work independently and manage your own time
- Creative problem-solver who likes to be challenged
- Attentive to detail
