Climate Policy Lab Research Assistantship(s)

Climate Policy Lab (CPL) has six major research themes related to climate change and energy decarbonization strategies. The Director and Managing director of the CPL are seeking 1 or 2 research assistants to provide generalized support to them on the following topics:

  • Just and inclusive energy transition in the United States
  • Climate change risk in financial markets
  • Corporate strategies for decarbonization including state enterprises
  • Hydrogen as an emerging low carbon fuel
  • Global climate negotiations
  • Global energy market trends and energy transition
  • U.S. – China relations
  • Global energy R&D and innovation

The RA(s) will work with and have regular check-ins with research professor Amy Myers Jaffe and Academic Dean Kelly Sims Gallagher.  Research activities will include working on power point presentations to present research findings as well as academic research, data visualization, and literature reviews. We expect the RA to work around 10 hours per week.  The pay rate is $17/hour.

Qualifications:

  • Enrolled as a student at Fletcher
  • Advanced research skills
  • Advanced skills in visualization and power point preferred
  • Interest in, and some knowledge of, energy policy and climate issues
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, internet applications)
