Dr. Christopher Shaw is the Dean of Academics at St. George’s School. Formerly at Phillips Academy, Andover, he chaired the history department and taught African Studies, world history and economics. Shaw also directed the International Academic Partnership, designing curricular innovation and professional development opportunities for a network of more than 300 schools scattered through East Africa, South and Central Asia, and the Middle East. At St. George’s, Shaw teaches Advanced Economics for seniors. As Dean, he oversees the evolution and daily operation of the academic program and development of SG’s 21st century curriculum, from SGx to a broad range of signature programs. Shaw holds a bachelor’s degree from Wesleyan University and master’s and Ph.D. from Tufts University. Learn more here.
