Dr. Philip Moremen is currently an Associate Professor School of Diplomacy and International Relations. Philip Moremen joined the School of Diplomacy and International Relations as one of its first four full-time faculty members. His areas of expertise include public international law, international environmental law and policy, and peace operations.
Professor Moremen’s scholarship has addressed private enforcement of international law, customary international law, and post-conflict peacebuilding. He has published in the Temple Law Review, the UCLA Journal of International Law and Foreign Affairs, and the Harvard Journal of International Law.
Professor Moremen is a Vice-President of the American Branch of the International Law Association and serves on its Executive Committee. He has served as Chair of the Seton Hall University Faculty Senate and in several other Senate positions. In 2019, he was named as the University Teacher of the Year and the School of Diplomacy Teacher of the Year. Learn more here.
