Dr. Ping Huang

Ping Huang was a postdoctoral scholar at Climate Policy Lab (CPL), Center for International Environment and Resource Policy (CIERP), The Fletcher School, Tufts University in June 2018 – June 2019. He worked with Prof. Kelly Sims Gallagher on a project of China’s energy innovation landscape funded by Breakthrough Energy Coalition, along with four other studies on United States, Europe, Canada and Mexico. The project will cooperate with the Chinese partner (Prof. Su Jun from Tsinghua University) to evaluate the strengths and weakness of China’s clean energy innovation system, and to conduct several case studies to elucidate best practices, experiences with failure, and challenges in the Chinese context. Prior to joining this project, he worked with Prof. Vanesa Castán Broto on urban energy innovation and transitions in China, based at University College London. As a visiting scholar, he also worked at Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development, Utrecht University, with Prof. Marko Hekkert on China’s solar PV innovation system. He has published in key energy and transitions journals such as Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, Journal of Cleaner Production, Energy Research & Social Science, Environmental Innovation and Societal Transitions and Technological Forecasting and Social Change (refer to his Google Scholar for more information.)
