Qi Qi is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Economics and Public Policy at Tufts with an emphasis on energy and environmental economics. Before coming to Fletcher, she worked for six years at the Australian Embassy in Beijing facilitating Australian-Chinese cooperation in fields of energy and natural resources. Over the past two years, she evaluated the greenness of Chinese investment overseas from policy perspective and how trade barriers have shifted global solar power deployment from developed to emerging economies. She is currently working on a paper evaluating the socio-economic impacts of rural electrification in India. Qi has a B.A. in English literature from Beijing Foreign Studies University, an MSc in International Relations from the University of Bristol, and an M.A.L.D. from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.
