SEEKING CAMP COUNSELORS FOR WEEKEND WRITERS’ RETREAT, JULY 18-21 2024

We are seeking a coordinator and small team of experienced educators, camp counselors and/or caregivers to support the Du Bois Forum’s third annual writers’ retreat in Amenia, New York, July 18-21 (Thursday evening through Sunday midday).  Founded by Tufts Professors Dr. Kendra Field and Dr. Kerri Greenidge, the Du Bois Forum is an annual convening of writers and artists. Duties and Requirements: Planning, leading, and/or supporting relevant programming for children of retreat participants, Thursday evening through Sunday midday.  Candidates should have experience as camp counselors, educators and/or significant caregiving experience, and should be pediatric CPR certified (or willing to be certified).  The retreat weekend is intense but rewarding.  Depending on experience,

Location: The majority of the retreat takes place at Troutbeck in Amenia, NY, about 2.5-3 hours from Boston.

Pay: $20-$30/ hour ($400-$900 for the weekend), plus lodging and meals, depending on experience, hours, and role.

Camp Hale Summer Counselor (New Hampshire)

Camp Hale is a subsidiary of the United South End Settlements in Boston, MA. Established in 1900, Camp Hale is a sleepaway summer camp for Boston-area youth ages 5 to 17 years old to experience a range of outdoor activities in the scenic environment of Squam Lake, located in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire. At Camp Hale, we believe every child should be able to attend summer camp, regardless of their financial situation.  Each summer we serve over 200 youths with diverse backgrounds, including underprivileged and at-risk youth.  

 We operate on the belief that all youth benefit from opportunities for physical, mental, and social growth and development. The goal is for campers to leave with an enhanced sense of well-being, improved social skills, and awareness of personal potential.

Counselor Positions at Camp Triumph (North Reading, MA)

 The Triumph Center is seeking skilled undergraduate and graduate students for counselor positions at our therapeutic day camp, Camp Triumph. Located in North Reading, MA, Camp Triumph serves children ages 6-16 who present with a wide range of neurodevelopmental and mental health challenges. Counselor responsibilities include facilitating cooperative activities designed to enhance social skills, working with campers on specific behavior goals, and running camp activities like arts and crafts and interactive games. Steve & Kate Summer Camp positions

We are currently hiring for camp counselors for our Summer Camp. It’s a fun-filled position spent gaining valuable experience with kids ages 4-12. Staff will have the opportunity to facilitate activities, giving them experience in classroom management, student engagement, teamwork, and behavioral management.
