Professor Kelly Sims Gallagher Appointed to National Academy Committee

Professor Gallagher was appointed to a new National Academies Committee on Accelerating Decarbonization in the United States: Technology, Policy, and Societal Dimensions.  Learn more about the Committee here. As part of this appointment, she will be working with other experts to identify the primary challenges and opportunities to reducing carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gas emissions, including the societal transformations required, as well as potential policy drivers for carbon dioxide emissions reductions. Professor Gallagher traveled to Washington, D.C. the week of March 11 to attend the first Committee meeting.
