We offer virtual and in-person professional development workshops to provide you with the background to teach the BioScann curriculum in your high school classroom. These free workshops are offered for Professional Development Points (PDPs) and are open to all teachers interested in the topic, regardless of whether you plan to teach the BioScann curriculum.

During the workshop we will model how to run the web-based curriculum in your classroom. As a participant, you will have the opportunity to experience BioScann from the student perspective and explore it from the teacher perspective. We will discuss background information required for running the curriculum, methods for facilitating engaging discussions among your students, and problems (with solutions!) you may encounter in your classroom. You will leave the workshop with a www.bioscann.org login and your first classroom set up on the platform. Once you have completed the workshop we can offer support as you use the curriculum in your classroom.

For BioScann cases that we are actively piloting, we invite teachers to be our Research Partners. We compensate Research Partner teachers for their time doing extra tasks such as taking surveys and administering surveys to students before and after the curriculum.

Please contact us for our upcoming workshops and/or if you are interested in being a Research Partner!
