The HIV Drug Development curriculum takes place over 5 days. By the end of the curriculum, students will have a deeper understanding of 1) why we need new HIV drugs, 2) the basic steps of drug development, and 3) what roles are important in the drug development process. Throughout Days 1-4, students have valuable group discussions where they analyze, synthesize, and communicate data. On Day 5, students reflect on the drug development process and the careers they’ve role-played. Then, they are guided through a STEM career exploration activity.
