Congratulations to May Graduates!
While teacher certification is required for many positions (elementary, music, arts, P.E., librarian, and counselor), many do not. With your degree, you are qualified to teach in a position within your subject field in many of our private K-12 schools. We currently have about 1,500 open teaching jobs across our 750 member schools in the South.
As you celebrate with your fellow graduates, let Southern Teachers help you navigate your job search so that you can share the good news of both graduation and a job with your friends and family.
Here is how our process works:
· Apply: Fill out the quick online application at SouthernTeachers.com
· Interview: You will hear back from our team within 5-7 days. If we can be a good resource for you, you will be paired with a Placement Counselor who will learn more about the criteria of your job search.
· Connect: We connect you with schools that meet your job search parameters and ones that we believe would be a great fit. Our teacher placement team will be a resource every step of the way, and we will assist you with the final steps of accepting an offer!
Not Graduating Yet? Looking for a Summer Job?
On our Summer Jobs resource page, we have listed many summer camps and summer teaching programs in the South. Either would be a great experience to list on a resume if you are considering teaching in the future.
Today, we want to highlight Breakthrough Collaborative. Breakthrough recruits and trains teaching fellows from more than 250 colleges and universities to lead residencies during the summer months and out-of-school time throughout the school year. Some of our K-12 member schools host the Breakthrough summer programs, so it would be a great way to see a private school campus and community.
