Babysitter Needed [North Cambridge]

Details: Five Year Old Boy. Location: North Cambridge, Massachusetts near Alewife Train Station. Days: M – F. May choose either or both shifts listed.

Morning Shift Overview: 6am – 9am( Flexible), compensation $800/month, Tasks include breakfast preparation. backpack check. and school Drop Off

Afternoon Shift Overview: 2pm – 8pm, compensation $1,500/month, Tasks include school Pick Up, after school snack, engaging activities (please see below), light cleaning, day wrap up & dinner preparation at home 

 Roles and Responsibilities Include the Following: 

  • Vehicle required to travel to event spaces (such as SkyZone and Chuck E Cheese)
  • Engage actively with a curious and energetic five-year-old boy, fostering his intellectual development through interactive and stimulating activities such as educational activity workbooks or a similar activity.
  • Demonstrate patience and creativity in engaging the child, catering to his intelligence and tech-savviness through age-appropriate educational games and activities.
  • Encourage a screen-free play environment, promoting physical activity, imaginative play, and hands-on learning experiences.
  • Foster a nurturing and safe environment, ensuring the child’s well-being and comfort at all times.
  • Facilitate learning through exploration and discovery, supporting the child’s natural curiosity and eagerness to learn new things.
  • Encourage positive behavior through effective communication and positive reinforcement techniques.
  • Maintain open and honest communication with parents, providing updates on the child’s activities, development, and any concerns that may arise.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in caring for the  child’s  needs, accommodating his changing interests and preferences.
  • Encourage a sense of humor and playfulness, engaging with the child in playful interactions and encouraging his own jokes and sense of humor.
  • Foster a sense of independence and responsibility in the child, encouraging him to make age-appropriate decisions and choices.
  • Provide a supportive and nurturing environment for the child to grow and develop, fostering a sense of curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning.
  • Maintain a clean and organized play area, ensuring that toys and materials are safe and age-appropriate.
  • Prepare and serve light, nutritious meals and snacks for the child, considering any dietary restrictions or preferences.
  • Perform light house cleaning duties, including tidying up play areas, washing dishes, and ensuring a clean and safe environment for the child.
  • Assist with washing and folding clothes, ensuring that the child has clean and tidy clothing available.
  • Engage the child in age-appropriate activities and play, fostering his development and ensuring his safety and well-being at all times.
