You may consider joining the district as a substitute or paraprofessional in the meantime to gain experience and connections in the district. They are also working on several grants to provide free tuition for Masters programs in Special Education and ESL for their employees. Joining as a paraprofessional is a great way to gain experience in the district while potentially furthering your education (subject to receiving grant funding).

Substitute Teacher (Quincy, MA)

Substitute Teaching at Angier Elementary School (Newton, MA)

Angier Elementary School is hiring a substitute teacher to begin immediately. As a substitute teacher, you would cover teachers who are absent or attending a meeting. You would work the same days each week (candidate can choose what works for them: can be 1-5 days/week). Daily rate of about $130/day. Training and opportunities to shadow teachers will be provided.
