OSCE in Ukraine: Lunch Conversation with Jeffrey Erlich

Please join the Fletcher Eurasia Club for a lunch conversation with Fletcher alumnus Jeffrey Erlich, who will discuss the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe’s (OSCE) current programming in Ukraine. Attendance is by registration only. Lunch will be served.
Jeffrey Erlich is senior project officer for the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine, currently acting as head of mission. He oversees a portfolio of more than 30 projects to help Ukraine strengthen adherence to OSCE commitments in the political-military, economic and environmental, and human dimension. Jeff began his career as a journalist, specializing in international security affairs, in the 1990s. He was in the Peace Corps 1998-2000, serving in Baikonur, the Russian space-launch centre. From 2000 to 2010, he worked for the Eurasia Foundation, including as a regional vice president, and its local spinoff the Eurasia Foundation of Central Asia, including as its president. From 2010 to 2015, he worked as an independent consultant in project management, corporate social responsibility and research. He holds a BA in journalism from The American University, an MA from the Fletcher School, Tufts University, and an MBA from the University of Massachusetts. He is professionally fluent in Russian, intermediate in Ukrainian and in need of refreshers in Kazakh, Uzbek, Thai and Spanish. He lives with his wife, Halida, and their two teenage sons in Kyiv.
