Since 2018, Wagner fighters have been operating in the Central African Republic, serving as military instructors for local forces and personal security for officials, while strengthening a lucrative business in exploitation of mineral resources. But a mountain of evidence points to crimes – murder, torture, execution, abductions, rape – credibly linked to Wagner forces and their successor entities.
