Natasha, 35, is a newly rich, successful woman who is looking for fame, reputation, and dreams to come true. She decides to launch an independent television station in Putin’s Russia in 2008. Natasha hires opposition reporters, minorities, and LGBTQ people. Soon her “baby” becomes the lone island of political and sexual freedom. For 12 years, Dozhd TV (TV Rain) was the only independent news television station in Russia. In 2008, Natasha could not have known she would fight on the frontlines of the war between truth and propaganda, losing all her money and her motherland. The television channel was shut down by the Russian government on the sixth day of the war in Ukraine, March 1, 2022. But it is not the end of the story.
