Building a Development Professional for the 21st Century

Join us for a brown bag lunch and conversation with Mr. Neil Levine! This semester, Mr. Levine teaches Advanced Development and Conflict Resolution. He has spent over 30 years in the federal sector in the Executive Branch and on Capitol Hill. His teaching experience includes a faculty appointment to the Department of Strategic Leadership at the National Defense University’s Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Policy and an adjunct professorship at American University (Washington, DC). He worked at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID),where he served as Deputy Director for Central American Affairs (1995-2000), as Director of the Office of Conflict Management and Mitigation (2008-2013) and Director of the Center of Excellence for Democracy, Human Rights and Governance (2014-2017). Mr. Levine has a M.S. in National Security Strategy from the National War College (2008), a Masters in International Affairs from Columbia University (1986) and a B.A. from Earlham College (1983). He received his Professional Coaching Certification from the College of Executive Coaching (2017). Since January 19, 2019, he has served as Board Chair for CDA – Collaborative Learning Projects (Cambridge, MA).
