Swim coach

Hi! My name is Laura Frye, and I am looking for a swim coach for my husband, Minot, as a birthday/anniversary/new dad gift.

We live in Medford with our dog and are expecting our first child this July. My husband completed his first marathon, running Boston in 3hrs, 25min! I’m so proud of him! I know that he has a deep urge to complete a sprint triathlon as his next fitness endeavor. He has been an avid cyclist for many years, so now he just needs some formal instruction in competitive, athletic swimming.

I am looking for a coach or student/alumni athletes who are around this summer and are willing to take on a private client. I am hoping to get him started with about 5 private lessons.

Kindly,
Laura Frye

Childcare help during summer (Somerville)

Hello and happy almost summer!

We are looking for a babysitter this summer who is responsible and great with both babies and little kids for our two boys (ages 4 and 1!) for Wednesdays during the day (and possibly also Monday/ Tuesday/ Thursday afternoons!)  We live right near Powder House Park in Somerville very close to Tufts. Responsibilities include: helping get them dressed and ready for the day, changing (the baby’s) diapers, feeding them lunch/ snacks, taking them on walks and to the library or playground, etc. Both boys go to daycare/ preschool part-time and my 4 yr old will be starting full time pre-K in September. We are somewhat flexible with the hours but ideally looking for someone who could work every Wednesday from around 9-4, and also possibly Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. Occasional hours on Mondays (or Fridays) could also help, depending on your availability!

My older turned 4 in March and is very talkative and imaginative. He loves books and legos and playgrounds! My younger turned 1 in February and is crawling like a madman and getting into all sorts of mischief. Both are silly and fun (and occasionally a handful as all little kids are!)

Pay is $25/ hour. Looking for someone who has some experience caring for babies and kids and can start as soon as possible. Please reach out to me if you’re interested!
Thank you!
