Occasional Babysitter Needed In Arlington

Hi! I need occasional care for my 5-year-old son. He has a 13-year-old sister who is fairly independent, but she may be involved/need supervision at times as well. My son has Autism, but he is verbal and generally well-behaved. He would benefit from spending time with someone who is upbeat, friendly, creative, resourceful, and patient.

Ideally, you have a car and would be willing to transport both children as needed.

*Currently, I need someone for Tuesday April 19th afternoon, Saturday April 23rd daytime, (potentially) the evening of Saturday April 30th, Saturday May 7th afternoon, Sunday May 15th afternoon/evening.

Seeking Morning Childcare

Seeking early riser(s) to help our 3 children (b/g twins 10, and son, 6) start their days on a positive note.  Wake them up; help the little guy get dressed; oversee breakfast and cleanup; ensure all teeth are brushed; hair is combed; lunches are packed into bags; and winter gear isn’t left behind.  Drive two of the children to school (the third child has a separate carpool).

You’ll be finished before your first class even starts!

Start time: 6:45 AM at our home

Finish time: 8:45 AM after school drop off

Includes: breakfast for you too!

Pay:  $40/morning

Available days:  M-F through June 10

Requirements:  Clean driving record. COVID vaccinated / boosted.

Preferences: It’s easier to work with one person, but we’re very flexible about developing a MWF/TTh between two people or something else among 3 people.

If there’s a desire to work add’l hours, you can come back to the house after the school drop off and prep school lunches for the following day.  Pay is $20/hr.

About us:  We’re a fully vaccinated (and adult-boosted) family of 5 who have lived in Arlington for 10 years.  Both Mom’s and Dad’s work starts before the kids even leave for school which is why we’re seeking morning help.  The entire family has a great sense of humor, so be prepared to hear a joke or two from the kids when you meet us.

After school babysitter in Arlington

We are looking for an after school babysitter for our two daughters in Arlington, near Arlington Center.  The job is 3-5 afternoons a week from 2:30 to 6.

– The bulk of the time will be spent with our fun and energetic 4th grader (9 1/2 years old). We would like someone to help her navigate her after school hours while we are working from home in other parts of our house.
–  Duties would include helping her get a snack, helping her get set up with and complete homework, helping her get ready for and logged into any remote after school activities she has (or driving her to those activities if they eventually resume in-person), and, if she has free time, hanging out together and going outside to get physical activity whenever possible.
–  The job would also include picking up our younger daughter (5 years old) at preschool at 5 pm and bringing her home, and then hanging out with both girls until we finish up with work.
– Assuming the hybrid program moves forward in Arlington public schools, our older daughter will be at school two days a week and then remote the other three days. If possible, we need the babysitter to pick her up at school on the in-school days at 2:30 p.m., and on the remote days, the babysitter would arrive at our house at 2:30 p.m.
–  If there is downtime while the older daughter is in a remote class or independently working on homework, we would like the babysitter to fill the time with some light housework such as unloading the dishwasher, tidying up the girls’ rooms, etc.

Pay range is $18-$22 per hour, dependent on experience. Clean driving record required. Preferred if the babysitter has her own car, though use of ours is a possibility.
