Fiona Prentice

Head Teacher

Fiona went to Lesley University for her Bachelor’s in Child Studies and later went to Salem State University for her. Master’s in Early Childhood Education. Ever since then, she has been working in the field of education. She started in a Headstart program before moving into public schools for a few years. Fiona is very excited to be in the Rainbow Room this year. She loves being a teacher because she has the privilege of working with a wide population of people. She also believes and strives to teach, that everyone can have a voice, no matter their age. Fiona also believes that students can teach their teacher, just as much as the teacher teaches them. When not in the classroom, one can usually find Fiona working on some type of craft project. Her favorite craft to do is either knitting or crocheting cute stuffed animals! You may also find her dancing her way through exercise with Zumba!

Samantha Mei

Assistant Teacher

Samantha Mei was born and raised in Boston, MA. She recently graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a B.A. in Early Childhood Education. For fun, she likes to spend her free time baking, playing volleyball, and watching movies. She is very excited to learn and grow with the community at EPCS starting this summer and continuing into the school year!

Siya Sethi

Siya is a second-year master’s student in the Eliot-Pearson Department of Child Study and Human Development. She is excited to join the Children’s School, as working with children brings her so much joy!

Marian Woode-Eshun

Eliot-Pearson Fellow

Marian is an international student from Ghana. She has a Bachelor of Education degree in Early Childhood Education. Currently, she is a graduate student at Tufts University pursuing M.A. in Child Studies and Human Development. Marian loves to teach because it provides her the opportunity to interact, support, and learn with young children. She believes that through a well-built educational system, we can make the world a better place to live in.

Jordin Luxenberg

Rainbow Teacher Assistant and

Floater Teacher

 

Jordin has been the floating teacher at EPCS for six years; She holds an M.A. in Developmental Disabilities from the Teachers College at Columbia University. One of the best gems about her job is building relationships with all the children and seeing their growth throughout the year. She enjoys creating art, watching documentaries, exploring new places, traveling, and visiting friends and family in her spare time.
