Fiona Prentice

Head Teacher

Fiona earned her Bachelor’s degree in Child Studies from Lesley University and later obtained her Master’s in Early Childhood Education from Salem State University. Since then, she has dedicated her career to the field of education. She began her journey in a Head Start program before moving on to work in public schools for several years. This year, Fiona is thrilled to continue teaching in the Rainbow Room. She loves being a teacher because it allows her to work with a diverse group of students. Fiona is passionate about ensuring that everyone has a voice, regardless of their age. She also believes that students can teach their teachers just as much as teachers educate their students. Outside the classroom, you can often find Fiona engaged in various craft projects. Her favorite hobbies include knitting and crocheting cute stuffed animals. Additionally, she enjoys dancing her way through exercise with Zumba

Samantha Mei

Assistant Teacher

Samantha Mei was born and raised in Boston, MA. She recently graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a B.A. in Early Childhood Education. For fun, she likes to spend her free time baking, playing volleyball, and watching movies. She is very excited to continue learning and growing with the community at EPCS!

Siya Sethi

Siya is a second-year master’s student in the Eliot-Pearson Department of Child Study and Human Development. She is excited to join the Children’s School, as working with children brings her so much joy!

Marian Woode-Eshun

Eliot-Pearson Fellow

Marian is an international student from Ghana. She has a Bachelor of Education degree in Early Childhood Education. Currently, she is a graduate student at Tufts University pursuing an M.A. in Child Studies and Human Development and a second year EP Fellow. Marian loves to teach because it provides her the opportunity to interact, support, and learn with young children. She believes that through a well-built educational system, we can make the world a better place to live in.

Jordin Luxenberg

Teacher Assistant/Floater

 

Jordin has been the floating teacher at EPCS for six years; She holds an M.A. in Developmental Disabilities from the Teachers College at Columbia University. One of the best gems about her job is building relationships with all the children and seeing their growth throughout the year. She enjoys creating art, watching documentaries, exploring new places, traveling, and visiting friends and family in her spare time.
