Eliot-Pearson Fellows

Eliot-Pearson Children’s School is an inclusive setting that celebrates the growth and development of each child through an educational philosophy consisting of child-centered, developmentally appropriate curriculum. Graduate students from the Eliot-Pearson Department of Child Study and Human Development working as E-P Fellows in the Children’s School have a wonderful opportunity to enhance their graduate work by combining a hands-on, practical experience with their theoretical course work. E-P Fellows bring their interests, passion, and expertise to the classrooms and integrate them into the school’s instructional practice.

Eliot-Pearson Children’s School is also a teacher preparation site that offers young and/or novice teachers a holistic, practical experience, or internship opportunities that include mentoring and coaching by master early childhood educators. The master teachers at the school are seasoned educators with extensive knowledge and experience in the field, who provide their mentees various opportunities to transfer theories, new ideas and cutting edge research to practice. As part of the program we have undergraduate and graduate teaching assistants.
