Alex Dolinskiy: Russian Public Diplomacy

Please join the Russia and Eurasia Program for lunch and a roundtable discussion on Russian public diplomacy with Alex Dolinskiy, one of the pioneers in developing the concept of public diplomacy in Russia. We will discuss Russian soft power, cultural and educational exchange programs, international aid, and propaganda around the world. Attendance is by registration only on Eventbrite.

Alex, MALD 2009, is a founder of Coursalytics.com, an online marketplace for executive education that aims to expand cross-border learning opportunities for senior executives in government and private sector. Alex has private & public sector communications, consulting and academic experience and holds key research leadership positions at two international consulting companies. He is a Member of the Expert Council with the Government of the Russian Federation and an expert of the Russian Council for International Affairs. He spent several years working in Russian public diplomacy and taught a class on public diplomacy at Moscow State University. His research experience includes contributing to Harvard Berkman Center for Internet and Society and United Nations Peacekeeping Situation Centre. Alex has successfully completed large-scale corporate diplomacy projects in the Asia Pacific region and in Europe. He graduated with a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy degree from The Fletcher School and later defended his Ph.D. thesis in political science at MGIMO University. He also holds a B.A. and M.A. magna cum laude degree from the Saint Petersburg State University and MGIMO University.
