Artyom Lukin and Georgy Toloraya: Russia’s Role in the North Korea Crisis

Please join us for a roundtable discussion with Professors Artyom Lukin and Georgy Toloraya. They will discuss and answer questions about Russia’s role in the North Korea crisis and security in the Asia-Pacific region. Brunch will be provided. Attendance is by registration only on Eventbrite.

Lukin is the Deputy Director for Research at the School of Regional and International Studies at the Far Eastern Federal University in Vladivostok, Russia. He is also an Associate Professor at the Department of International Relations.

Toloraya is the Director of the Asian Strategy Center at the Institute of Economics of the Russian Academy of Sciences and a Professor of Oriental Studies at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO University). He is a former Russian diplomat, having served in two postings in North Korea at the USSR trade mission (1977-1980; 1984-1987) and as Minister Counselor at the Russian Embassy in South Korea (1993–1998).
