Tatiana Shakleina: Russia in Contemporary International Politics

Please join us for a lecture by Professor Tatiana Shakleina, Chair of the Department of Applied Analysis of International Issues at MGIMO University. She will speak and answer questions about the role of the Russian Federation in contemporary international politics. Lunch will be served. The event will serve as a forerunner to the first Fletcher-MGIMO conference on U.S.-Russia relations on November 16, 2017.

Shakleina has served as a Leading Research Associate since 1972 at the Institute of the USA and Canada Studies at the Russian Academy of Sciences, where she earned a PhD in World History and International Relations and became a Professor of Political Science. She has over 200 publications on contemporary international relations, American and Russian foreign policy, Russian-American relations, American think tanks, Russian studies in the United States, and American studies in Russia.
