Next Tuesday, February 28th is Mardi Gras, the culmination of the Carnival season. New Orleans is home to the most famous Mardi Gras festivities in the United States, but it is celebrated in a number of different cities across the US, and in different forms throughout the world.  Here’s a brief overview of the holiday’s history and celebration. It’s a tradition for revelers to wear masks, so to help brighten up the winter gloom, this week we’re giving you the opportunity to make your very own! Stop by the Library Service Desk starting at noon on Thursday 2/23 and Friday 2/24 and enjoy a festive study break.
