An AI Bust May Not Be All Bad News
2025 has been the Year of AI’s Accelerated Standstill. This year, the growth of AI use has stagnated and even declined in enterprises and ROI is still missing (I know it’s hard to believe – but check the data). The stock market valuations of all AI-beneficiary stocks underperformed the S&P 500 for the first time since the launch of ChatGPT 3 years ago. Meanwhile, investments in R&D have been accelerating at a pace never seen in history. If AI heads for a crash, as many are worried, it could be bad, really bad — or…not such a bad thing after all.
