After School Care/Tutoring

Two families in Melrose seek joint after school child care and tutoring for 3-4 children. After school care would occur from school dismissal at 2:20P-5/5:30 P, Mon-Fri. Children are in first and fourth grade; 2 boys in first grade, and 1 girl and 1 boy in fourth grade.

This caregiver would supervise playtime after school, help children with homework, and administer snacks. Tutoring first grade children in reading/writing, and fourth grade children in math, for a portion of the after school care ideal. Care would take place in one of the family’s homes; both families live within walking distance (1 block) from one another and from children’s school. Pay commensurate with experience. Seeking Afterschool Care & Tutor

Looking for a person to help in afterschool care with structure and tutoring for a 7-year-old energetic and kind boy with developmental delay due to early childhood trauma. 

Job Details:

Position will be paid $20/hr. Applicants must be available Mondays 2:30-5:30; Tuesdays 1:00-5:00; Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 2:30-5:30.

Before School Care Staff Needed

They’re looking for 3 dependable, engaging, and creative individuals to run their Before School Care Program from 7:30 am-8:15 am daily.

Responsibilities include: greeting our students at the door with a smile, engaging students in morning activities, overseeing students eating breakfast brought from home, facilitating social interactions, and ensuring COVID mitigating measures.

House Manager/Childcare

I am looking to hire someone who would be available starting January 3rd. Hours would be 1pm-5:30/6pm M-TH The job would include 1 hr/day of house chores including but not limited too, Kitchen clean up, dinner prep, general tidiness including vacuuming and mopping (all supplies are provided), Pick up of our 3.5 year old from preschool at 2:30pm in Union square and getting them home to Winter Hill. Feeding snacks, provided by the family and playing with them until 6pm. The position may also include a pick up of our 7 year old from school in East Somerville around 5/5:30 and bringing them to Winter Hill home as well. Driving is not required, but reliable transportation and ability to be on time is. Pay would start at $25/hr ~ $100/day. 
An ideal candidate would be someone who is available and willing to be with us for 2 years and can engage our kids with reading, activities and monitor park play time as needed. Ability to drive and has a car is a plus, but not a deal breaker.   They must be fully COVID vaccinated as we have been very COVID conscious for the last 18 months and continue to do so until our kids are eligible for vaccines. This person would be flexible and open to additional hours as well as provide care for one or two kids on potential school vacation days or holidays at a holiday pay rate. Sitter Needed for Arlington Family

We are seeking a sitter to help care for our three fun and sweet boys 3-4 afternoons per week. The position would involve you caring for our youngest son (age 3) while Dad picks up the two older siblings at school. When all three children get home, we need help with snack prep and homework facilitation. Our boys love arts and crafts, board games, and playing sports/activities outside. 

This is a great opportunity for someone interested in education/child development. 

3-4 days per week (*Flexible*)
Hours: 2 – 4:30pm 
Pay: $20 + / hour 

Has own transportation; fully vaccinated; low-risk Covid exposure as our boys are not vaccinated.
