Full-time Summer Nanny for 4-year-old (Magoun Square, Somerville)

We are seeking a summer nanny who can take care of our 4-year old girl from June 10 through September 2nd. We live steps away from Magoun Square Green-line T stop in Somerville. License and safe-driving record required. You can use your car or ours.

Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday- Friday. She will be signed up for one hour classes for gymnastics, swim, dance and art, so she’ll need to be chaperoned to and from those 1-hour classes.

Other expectations: 

  • Transporting and attending toddler activity meet-ups
  • Make and serve lunches and snacks.
  • There is a whole floor, bathroom, and shared outdoor space available for the caretaker.
  • Fold and put away her laundry 1x a week
  • Caring, fun demeanor 
  • Experience working with toddlers preferred 

Compensation/ benefits: $25/hour +time and a half for over 40/hours a week + $200 retention bonus for any week that we have off for vacation.

Babysitter (West Medford)

Hello! We are looking for a babysitter to take care of our 5 month old starting Feb 2024. The position would be 3 days a week (flexible Monday – Thursday) from approximately 10:00-2:30p. 

Job duties would be general care of the baby – feeding, naps, playing, cleaning etc. One parent works from home and will be at the house and be available to you as needed.  There is a super friendly dog (golden/labradoodle) in the home.

Required hours: 3x a week, 10:00am – 2:30pm

Location: West Medford (1 mile from Tufts)

Start: February 2024, End TBD

Requirements: CPR certified (preferred), non smoker.

Wage: negotiable, $20-24 range

Weekend Babysitter (Magoun Sq, Somerville)

We are looking for a weekends & occasional date night sitter for our 2 boys (5 years old & 18 months old) in Somerville. We are located near the green line train station Magoun Sq and right next to the bike path! If you do drive, we will provide you with a guest permit as well to park on a street nearby.

We are a family of 4. Both our kids are in school & daycare during the weekdays. We are looking for a babysitter on weekends to engage with the kids while we run errands, go for walks, etc. Responsibilities would be to engage in activities that both the kids enjoy e.g building something with blocks, magnatiles, going to the parks nearby (weather permitting), building race tracks, etc. Also, if the hours are around the younger one’s naptime – putting him down for a nap.

Hours – Saturday or Sunday (2-3 hours). We can discuss the hours based on your schedule as well & other commitments we may have. Also, would like availability for date night babysitting as well.

Soccer Training with 10-year-old (Near Tufts Campus)

We are looking for a student who has a solid understanding of soccer to run drills and play soccer with our 10 year old son 1-2x per week, for 90 minutes in the afternoon (days and times flexible). He is an enthusiastic soccer player, who plays on a team in the Fall/Spring and a games-only winter league. 

We live near campus (Wallace & Broadway) so could meet at Tufts Triangle or at our house. Pay is $25-30 per session, depending on frequency.

Weekly babysitter for infants (East Arlington)

We are looking for a babysitter/mother’s helper to help with our 5 week old twins on a weekly basis! It would be a few times a week (2-3) for three-ish hours at a time. We live in East Arlington, about a mile from Tufts campus. Responsibilities would include helping with bottles and feeding, soothing babies, emptying the dishwasher, occasional laundry, watching the babies while they sleep so I (mom) can run a quick errand or go on a walk, etc. 

Currently paying $22 per hour and we’re looking for someone up to date on their vaccinations (covid, flu). We also have a cat who mostly keeps to herself.

After school babysitting starting in mid-January (Winchester)

We are looking for an after school babysitter in Winchester for our 5, 8 and 9 year olds starting mid-January. No need to drive them anywhere! Just a 2 minute walk from our home to pick them up at school and then help with snack, play, arts and crafts. Looking for Monday – Friday 2:00-5:00 or 2:00-5:30, but open to splitting up days between babysitters! If you might be interested, even if only for a few days, please reach out! Dog-sitting over winter break

I am looking for someone to watch my dog, Harley, while I am away from December 24th to January 2nd. She is a very sweet dog, great with animals, people, potty trained, and an overall fan favorite. She needs the basics; three walks a day, feeding twice a day, and some love and affection. I can pay $300-350 for the 10 days. Babysitter for 9 month old (Medford)

We are looking for someone who is willing to watch our nine month old at our house. We don’t need specific days, but the occasional afternoon/evening. We are a five minute drive from campus in Medford. It is easiest to get to our home by car. We are willing to pay for an uber in addition to the hourly rate of $20/hour. Responsibilities would include diapering, feeding, and general baby care. He goes to bed rather early, so it would mostly be sitting in our house doing homework once he is in bed! We also have a very calm, friendly dog.

Babysitter for two second-graders (near Tufts)

We are looking for someone to watch two second grade girls (friends) after school starting in January through the end of the school year (June – but there is some flexibility with this). Hours would be Monday – Friday from about 2:45pm until 5:30pm – there is also some flexibility in days if it’s not possible to do all 5 days. 
Responsibilities would be to pick them up from the bus stop and bring them to one of their houses, give them a snack and just hang out with them. Both girls have known each other since daycare and love playing together and doing arts and crafts. There are also parks within walking distance form both houses.
Both houses are within walking distance from each other and campus and we usually rotate house each day. There’s plenty of street parking at both houses. One of the houses has a very friendly medium-sized dog.We are flexible on pay based on experience.

House and Dog Sitting (near Tufts)

Are you or somebody you know around over the holidays and in need of accommodation/want to live in a house rather than a dorm? We are looking for a responsible person with at least some dog experience to dogsit at our house between December 27 and Jan 5 (could be Jan 9 if that is helpful to you). The house is a single family, 5 minutes walk from campus. You would have dog walking responsibilities, but we can also pay for a walker to help ease that load. This is not a paid position per se — we are hoping there is somebody who wants/needs the free accommodation — but we can offer a $200 stipend for the time. Our dog is extremely friendly so there are bonus dog snuggles!
