Linx-Camp-JobsStudent Volunteer Opportunity with LCS Tutors
We are LCS Tutoring, a community service organization at Tufts devoted to pairing Jumbos with K-12 students in the Medford/Somerville areas for tutoring, and we are currently recruiting for the spring semester! This is a great opportunity for Tufts students to give back to their local community and is a rewarding experience. Our goal is to allow students to have the freedom of tutoring in any subject and age group that they feel comfortable with, and we offer a multitude of resources and events to support our tutors.

Summer camp positions (Concord)
Hiring for camp counselors, aquatics staff, specialist positions (e.g. nature education, archery, etc), and a head of challenge course programing at Summer’s Edge at Camp Thoreau in Concord, Mass (about 35 minutes from Medford).
We are in the process of hiring or supporting education students with summer positions. We have several licensed teachers from different content areas on our staff for mentoring opportunities.
Benefits include:
- Complimentary summer membership to The Thoreau Club (access to the fitness center, pools, and tennis courts)
- Certification and training for lifeguards, WSI, challenge course staff, and archery certifications
The salary is based on the position and individual experience (for example if the individual is an experienced lifeguard or we trained them for the position. Our baseline pay, however, is at least minimum wage ($15.00 per hour).
Summer season runs from June 26, 2023 – August 18, 2023 (Mon – Fri). Our staff orientations are usually held on Mondays and Wednesdays in June from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm (except for Juneteenth).

3Point hiring for SEL
3PointFoundation is looking to hire someone to teach our social emotional learning curriculum for middle schoolers, once a week from 9:00-12:00 on Sundays, starting in February for 8 weeks. This would entail teaching 3 classes for 45 minutes each with the assistance of university students.
The compensation of $30/hr. would include an hour of prep time.

RA Opportunity
We are recruiting one graduate student at the master’s or PhD levels to work with us in the development of a mathematical mindsets and identities tool that will be used in a larger project that will explore students’ different pathways through middle and high school algebra.

Program Assistant/Intern/Instructor Position for The Boys’ Room
Seeking a Program Assistant/Intern/Instructor for the 2022-2023 academic school year. All are welcome to apply but a Black/Brown male student in their junior/senior or graduate year is preferred. The responsibilities of the Program Assistant/Intern/Instructor would be the following but are not limited to:
- Attending weekly staff meetings in person and/or online
- Attending weekly Boys’ Room Group Meetings in person and/or online
- Assisting Program Founder with devising weekly curriculum for the kids
- Researching topics assigned by Program Founder
- Organizing and coordinating visits for guest speakers
- Seeking Leadership workshops for participants to attend
- Identifying community service opportunities for participants to attend
- Helping to maintain (Trello) calendar
- Sending weekly informational emails to parents
- Maintaining Social Media posts on FB and IG
- Must be familiar with google docs
The hours needed weekly are anywhere from 6-10 hours.
