July/Aug Nanny for 2- and 4-year-old in Cambridge

Description: We are looking for a joyful and patient full-time nanny for our toddlers from July 21-Aug 15. The nanny would primarily care for our 2-year-old as our 4-year-old will be in a summer camp each day until 3pm. Hours would typically be 9am-5pm with a paid lunch break, but we are flexible and can work with the nanny’s schedule as needed. Although this is a summer position, we would welcome the nanny to begin doing occasional babysitting this spring so they could get to know our children. We live in Cambridge close to Harvard Square, so we have lots of playgrounds, museums, and a library within walking distance. No car/driving needed, but can offer a parking spot if the nanny chooses to drive to work. Previous childcare experience is required, and, ideally with children under age 5.

Pay: $30/hour

Responsibilities: We expect the nanny to keep our children safe, whether that’s during indoor play or on outdoor adventures. Over the summer, we’d like for the nanny to take our daughter on daily outings to playgrounds, the library, museums, or local events. The nanny will be expected to feed our daughter snacks and lunch, and to tidy all spaces used throughout the day. The nanny will also be asked to fold and put away our children’s laundry. We are looking for candidates who are reliable, good communicators, and genuinely enjoy getting to know children and supporting their creativity and development.
