Home Helper/Occasional Babysitter (Somerville)

We are a busy family of four seeking some help with laundry and basic household tasks, as well as occasional babysitting. None of this is urgent or time sensitive, so you could come by at a time convenient for you each week (for example: coming by 1-2x a week for an hour or two during the day and help with putting in a load of laundry or two, putting laundry away, helping pickup toys and other stuff around the house, meal prep, etc.)

Location: We are conveniently located in Somerville a block from the Community Bike Path. 

About us: We are a family of four with a 2yo son and 5yo daughter. Dad works in tech and from home each day, Mom is a doctor and works from home 2-3 days a week.

Babysitting for Toddler (Medford)

We’re seeking an occasional babysitter who would be interested in date nights, weekend hours, and more sparingly – weekday hours including evenings and school holidays. 

Upcoming needs include Saturday evening December 7th, from 5:30p to about 10:30p. 

Our daughter is 3 years old and enjoys all the standard toddler activities – animals, crafts, the playground, running around.

Location: West Medford – best if you have transportation. If you’d like to take her out to the park or other activities – please be a responsible driver, and we can provide a car and/or carseat.
Pay: $20-25/hr pending experience

Babysitting for Infant/Toddler (Somerville)

We are looking for a babysitter to help with one of our kids, either a 9 month old or a 2.5 year old (just not at the same time, just depends on which day you’re available, which one is home).  Depending on your availability, one day a week for 3 hours. Preference is Monday, Thursday or Friday but open to other days. Opportunities for date nights as well on the weekends. 

We are looking for someone who has experience both with babies and toddlers. Compensation is based on experience $20-$22.

Occasional Babysitter for 3yo (Ball square, Somerville) – $27 per hour

We’re looking for an occasional babysitter for our 3 year old daughter Maxine. 

Depending on your availability, it could be after school during the week, or on weekends, for 2 to 3 hours each time. Maxine is 3yo and speaks English and French. We live in Ball square, Somerville. Compensation is $27 per hour.

Babysitting 2 Year Old (Lexington)

I am looking for afternoon care on weekdays and weekends for my 2-year-old son, Julian. The frequency would be about 3-4 times a month, if not more.

Primary responsibilities would be undertaking appropriate creative/educational/outdoor activities, reading to and with our son, reinforcing appropriate discipline, and tidying play areas. We have two cats who are very friendly and won’t require any monitoring. No housework or meal prep required. We live within a 10 minute walk from Downtown Lexington.

Julian is adventurous, friendly, creative, and is a ton of fun. He loves playgrounds, trucks and making new friends.

We are looking for someone who enjoys the company of toddlers, warm and kind with an adventurous spirit. A background in child development and/or experience babysitting would come in handy (though isn’t necessary). 

Requested Hours:  Thursdays and Fridays 3-6 and occasional Saturdays/Sundays from 12-4 or 4-6.

Pay: $20-$25 based on experience.

Start date: ASAP, through the rest of the semester, and hopefully next semester (and next year), too.

Afterschool Babysitter (Medford)

We are a family new to the area from Michigan seeking a babysitter for occasional after-school care and 1-3 nights a month. We are looking for an experienced and nurturing babysitter with a sense of fun and love for children to care for our daughter. Our daughter is 7 years old and loves music, dancing, and playing outside. 

Primary responsibilities would include 1) occasional after-school pick-up, 2) undertaking appropriate creative/educational/outdoor activities, 3) preparing meals and snacks, 4) reading to and with our daughter, 5)reinforcing appropriate discipline, and 5) tidying play areas. We have one cat who is friendly and playful and won’t require any monitoring.

December Morning Daycare Drop-Off (Arlington Center)

Seeking a reliable caregiver to drop our 6mo infant off for daycare during the first 3 weeks of December. We are both school teachers, and unfortunately need to begin our commute before the daycare center is open!

Our son’s daycare is fairly close by, located on Mass Ave. It is a 3min drive from our home or a 12min stroller walk. We would have his things packed and ready to go, you would spend maybe 30-40 min with him to play or possibly feed a prepared bottle, and then drop him off at daycare by 8am. We have 4hr free parking on our street, and the 77 bus has frequent drops off at the end of our block.

No house duties included in this position- we want the hour to be as simple as possible! All his belongings will be prepared for the day, he will just need company for a little bit and safe arrival at his daycare.

Location: Arlington Center, near Town Hall
Hours: 6:45am – 8am, M-F (first 3 weeks of December)
Pay: $20 – $25 per dropoff, will happily negotiate based upon experience

Weekday Babysitter/Home Helper (East Arlington)

Looking for a mother’s helper/babysitter with weekday availability. 
We live in East Arlington, 10 minutes from Tufts and the bus to Davis sq is steps away. Seeking someone who enjoys being around kids, ages 3 & 6. They love crafts, reading books, and dramatic play.
You would hang out with the kids after school while we work from home.  No food prep, all will be pre-set by the parents. 
We hope to find someone flexible with a mix of babysitting and home helper responsibility (mostly to fold and put away kids’ clean laundry & tidy toys when they are not home, not any cleaning or dishes!).
Ideally looking for a year or longer relationship! Pay $19-$24/hr depending on experience and fit.
