Job Description: The
Student Accessibility Services office (or SAS) provides academic and non-academic
accommodations to students on the Medford campus, SMFA, and the Fletcher
school, and operates Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm. SAS is seeking two graduate students, to
oversee the SAS Exam Proctoring Program for extended time students in the
Lincoln Filene space. The position will take place Monday-Thursday 9am to 5pm
with flexible Friday dates. The Graduate Testing Coordinators will also be
responsible for other administrative duties, as assigned.
Additional information about the GTC will support can be
found below:
- The GTC will support the opening of the new
space and manage it. Proctors will work with faculty or staff in academic
departments to secure exams, proctor students taking exams, as well as ensuring
exams are scanned after completion.
Job Requirements: Applicants must be in a graduate program at Tufts. Applicants must be able to work on average 12-15 hours/ week, in the SAS office space during business hours. Applicants should be able to commit to regular staff meetings during the academic year (these will be scheduled during the time that the applicant is due to be in the office). Experience working with people with disabilities is preferred but not necessary. Applicants must be reliable, well organized, detail oriented, flexible and willing to take independent initiative to resolve problems as they arise. Excellent oral and written skills are required and respect for confidentiality must be maintained.
