How to Make Lectures More Effective

Recently, a faculty book group co-sponsored by CELT and TUSDM Educational Technology discussed Thinking Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman. In this book, the author takes readers on an exploration of what influences thought example by example. Book club member Jennipher Murphy synthesized the research presented within the text and linked it to student learning. In her blog post she explores strategies to make lectures more effective in improving student engagement and learning based on Daniel Kahneman’s work.
